The short version
The public website collects only the information you choose to send through the contact form. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers.
Information we collect
If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject, and message.
The site uses essential browser storage for basic preferences and authorized administrator sign-in. Our hosting and security provider may also receive routine technical information such as an IP address, browser type, timestamps, and error or security logs.
How we use information
We use personal information only to respond to inquiries, operate and secure the website, and fix technical problems.
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not use personal information for targeted advertising.
- We do not ask for payment, medical, or other sensitive information through the public contact form.
Accounts and member features
Public member accounts, athlete profiles, and interactive athlete features are not currently activated. Only authorized team administrators may sign in. This policy will be updated before member features are activated for swimmers or families.
Delegated Intent URLs
This site supports human-reviewed actions initiated by software agents. Capability metadata is published at https://www.digbydolphins.ca/.well-known/agent-capabilities.json.
A delegated intent URL may contain proposed article text. It does not sign anyone in, save, or publish anything. Do not include passwords, private member information, medical information, or other sensitive personal information in these links.
Service providers and disclosure
We use Google Firebase for hosting, authorized administrator authentication, contact form processing, data storage, and website security. Google may store or process this information outside Nova Scotia or Canada.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect a person's safety, or to investigate misuse of the website. Otherwise, we share it only with team volunteers or service providers who need it for the purposes described in this policy.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, team administration, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information held through the website, subject to any information the team must retain. A parent or guardian may make a request concerning their child. You may also withdraw consent for optional uses of information.
