Provincials Week Is Here

August 9, 2026Coach Angela Swim Meet
After a summer of practices, personal bests and meets around the province, swimmers are getting ready for the Nova Scotia Summer Swimming Provincial Championships. This year’s championships run from August 14–16 in Windsor, hosted by the Windsor Bluefins. Swim Nova Scotia has now released the meet information, team splits, warm-up schedule, psych sheets and session reports, along with the final summer swimming rankings for 2026. For swimmers, Provincials are a chance to see what all those small improvements during the season can add up to. A better turn, a stronger finish or finally getting comfortable with a difficult stroke might not seem huge during one practice, but over a whole summer those things matter. Swim Nova Scotia says around 800 swimmers take part in its summer swimming program across the province in a typical year. For the Dolphins, this weekend is also part of a bigger story. Digby hosted another successful invitational this summer, and in two years swimmers from around Nova Scotia will be coming here when the Dolphins host Provincials in August 2028. That is still a long way off. For now, it is one more weekend to race, cheer for teammates and see how far a summer of swimming can take you. Good luck to everyone heading to Windsor.
