Dolphins Finish Strong at 2026 Provincials

The Digby Dolphins wrapped up the summer season with a great weekend at the 2026 Summer Swimming Provincials, with eight Dolphins representing Digby against swimmers from across Nova Scotia. Leah Halliday led the way with an awesome weekend, winning gold in both the 100m butterfly and 100m backstroke. She also earned silver in the 50m butterfly and finished third in the 100m freestyle and fifth in the 100m breaststroke. Leah was named to the 2026 Swim NS Summer All-Star Team. Those results also helped Digby earn the Small Team Champions title for the 17–18 age group, a pretty impressive result for one of the smallest teams at Provincials. There were lots of other strong swims from the team too. Ezra Mollins finished 10th in both the 100m and 50m breaststroke, while Kade Savary finished 11th in the 200m IM and 13th in the 50m butterfly. Charleigh Halliday raced five events, including an 11th-place finish in the 400m freestyle. Payton Marshall also took on five events, including both the 100m and 200m IM and the 400m freestyle. Emilia Mollins and Eva Wilson competed in the 11–12 age group, while nine-year-old Alice Wilson got her first taste of Provincials in the participation events, racing the 50m freestyle and 100m IM. It was a pretty great way to finish another summer of racing. The Dolphins earned 193 team points with just eight swimmers at the meet, and everyone who made the trip got the chance to represent Digby at the biggest meet of the summer.
