Digby Dolphins to Host the 2028 Summer Swimming Provincial Championships

The Digby Dolphins have been named host of the 2028 Nova Scotia Summer Swimming Provincial Championships. For our swimmers, this is a big opportunity. The provincial championships are the highlight of the summer season, bringing together qualifying swimmers from clubs across Nova Scotia for three days of competition. Hosting in 2028 gives today’s Dolphins something exciting to work toward. Younger swimmers will have the chance to grow with the team over the next two seasons, while older swimmers can help lead the way and show what our club is capable of. The event will build on the success of the Dolphins’ home meets in 2025 and 2026. Both meets showed that Digby can put on a strong, welcoming competition for swimmers and families from across the province. That success would not have been possible without our volunteers. Timers, officials, marshals, concession workers, prize runners and many others gave their time to make those meets run smoothly. Their work created a positive experience for the swimmers and helped prepare the club for an even bigger event in 2028. In the meantime, our swimmers can keep building their skills, supporting their teammates and enjoying the progress that comes with every practice and meet. The Digby Dolphins look forward to welcoming swimmers, coaches, officials, volunteers and families from across Nova Scotia in August 2028.
